Without maintenance
What happens when nobody looks after your website?
A website is like a company car: it runs well for a long time. Until it doesn't, usually at the worst possible moment.
An easy target for attackers
Automated programs search around the clock for websites running outdated software. To them, a website without updates is an open window.
The form stops sending
After a change at your email provider, enquiries no longer arrive. Nobody notices. Customers simply call someone else.
The site gets slow
Oversized images and old add-ons pile up. Visitors won't wait, and Google shows you further down.
The browser shows a warning
When the security certificate runs out, the browser warns your visitors about your own website. Many leave straight away.

Hosting
Website hosting in Switzerland or the EU, on request.
Hosting means your website lives on a computer in a data centre and can be reached around the clock. It is included in every care plan.
Location of your choice
You decide whether your website is hosted in Switzerland or in the EU.
Set out in writing
You get it in writing where your data is stored and which services are involved. Data protection set up according to Swiss law (nFADP).
Monitored and backed up
If the website goes down, I know straight away. Backups (safety copies of your site) are ready for emergencies.
No lock-in contract
Your website belongs to you. Even after you cancel.
Many website subscriptions tie you in for one to three years. With some, the website is gone the moment you cancel. Not with me.

How much does website maintenance cost per month?
Care Basic costs CHF 79.– a month, Care Plus CHF 149.–, Growth CHF 249.–. Care Basic includes hosting, updates, backups, monitoring and 30 minutes of changes a month. For a small business website, that is usually enough. All prices excl. Swiss VAT.
Do I have to sign up for a care plan?
No, it is optional. Without one, you receive all data and logins at handover. You can then host the website yourself or hire someone else. I am happy to quote individual changes at a fixed price.
How long am I tied in?
The minimum term is 6 months; after that you can cancel monthly. The website belongs to you either way, also after you cancel. You receive all data and logins, free of charge.
Where is my website hosted: in Switzerland or abroad?
You choose: in a data centre in Switzerland or in the EU. You get it in writing where your data is stored and which services are involved. Data protection is set up according to Swiss law (the Swiss data protection act, nFADP).
What if I need more changes?
Then you get a short fixed-price quote first. I never bill anything without your okay. If you regularly need more time, Care Plus with 90 minutes or Growth with 180 minutes a month is the better fit.
Do you also look after websites someone else built?
I will look at your website for free in our first call. If it is in good shape, I can take over its care, and I will give you the price after the check. If it is outdated, I will tell you honestly whether a relaunch costs less than patching it up.
