Customer portal · Web app for SMEs

A customer portal where your clients find everything themselves.

I build customer portals for SMEs: your clients see documents, status, requests and invoices in one place, around the clock. You spend less time on the phone and stop digging through e-mails. From CHF 12'900.–, live in 6 weeks, at a fixed price.

  • from CHF 12'900.–

  • data in Switzerland or the EU
Example: what your customer portal could look like, here for an accounting firm. With your logo and your colours.

Below the surface · Customer portal

What your clients handle themselves in the customer portal.

Everything clients call or e-mail you about today, they find in the portal. Your team is free to focus on the actual work.

  • Documents

Download contracts, quotes, reports and statements. And upload paperwork instead of e-mailing it.

  • Status

See where their job stands: received, in progress, done. Without having to ask.

  • Requests

Ask a question or place an order. Through a form instead of a stray e-mail, already sorted on your side.

  • Invoices

Open and paid invoices at a glance. Clients pay by Swiss QR-bill or with TWINT, the Swiss mobile payment app.

  • Appointments and deadlines

Next service, filing deadline, viewing: your clients see what’s coming up and get a reminder.

  • Messages

The conversation stays with the job. Nothing gets lost in an inbox any more.

I have already built logins, permissions, payments and admin areas for my own web apps, which are in use today. See my work

Who it’s for

Who benefits from a customer portal of your own.

Whenever you have returning clients who regularly need documents or ask how things stand.

  • Accounting and tax firms

Example: Receipts arrive by post, e-mail and WhatsApp. In the portal your clients upload everything in one place and see what’s still missing and where their tax return stands.

  • Property management

Example: Tenants report damage with a photo. Owners find statements and meeting minutes themselves. Every report is logged, with its status.

  • Trades with regular customers

Example: Joiners, electricians or building services with maintenance contracts: customers see quotes, service reports and the next maintenance date, and approve quotes with one click.

  • IT service providers

Example: Your clients report problems and find contracts, licences and invoices themselves. You always see which requests are still open.

Features

What your portal does. In plain words.

You get what your clients actually use. Not a hundred features nobody can find.

  • A login for every client, password-free on request, via a link in an e-mail
  • Each client sees only their own documents
  • Several people per company, with different permissions
  • An e-mail to the client as soon as something new is ready
  • An overview for your team: what’s open, who is waiting for whom
  • Your logo, your colours, your address, e.g. portal.your-company.ch
  • Works in the browser on phone, tablet and computer, nothing to install
  • In one language of your choice; more languages (English, German, French or Italian) on request

bexio

Connected to bexio.

Clients, quotes and invoices flow straight from bexio, the Swiss accounting software, into the portal. Paid invoices are marked as paid in bexio too. You never enter anything twice.

More about the bexio integration

Data protection

Your data, your rules.

Data stored in Switzerland or the EU, as you prefer. Data protection set up in line with Swiss law (the revised FADP). On request, the portal records who opened which document, and when.

How it works

Live in 6 weeks. On a fixed date.

When I build your customer portal, you know before we start what it does, what it costs and when your clients log in for the first time.

  1. 01

    Workshop

    Week 1

We decide what your clients can see and do in the portal. You get sketches of the most important pages.

  2. 02

    Build

    Weeks 2 to 4

A preview to click through every week. During this time I also connect the portal to bexio.

  3. 03

    Test

    Week 5

Two or three of your clients try out the portal. Whatever bothers them, I fix before launch.

  4. 04

    Live

    Week 6

A walkthrough for your team and a ready-to-send invitation for your clients. Code and data belong to you.

Price

What does a customer portal cost?

From CHF 12'900.–, excl. VAT, at a fixed price. The exact price depends mainly on three things:

  1. 01How many programs need connecting. One connection, for example to bexio, is included in the price.
  2. 02How many roles there are, for example tenants, owners and caretakers.
  3. 03Whether existing clients and documents need to be moved over.

After our call you get a fixed-price quote within 48 hours. All web app packages

Frequently asked questions

What businesses ask about a customer portal before they start.

How much does a customer portal cost?

A customer portal starts at CHF 12'900.–, excluding VAT. That includes the login for your clients, documents, status and requests, one connection to bexio or your software, and setup on servers in Switzerland or the EU. After our first call you get a fixed-price quote within 48 hours.

How long does it take to build a customer portal?

6 weeks from the start, once content and access are ready. The date is in the quote, backed by my delivery guarantee.

Does the customer portal work with bexio?

Yes. Clients, quotes and invoices come straight from bexio, the Swiss accounting software, and paid invoices are marked as paid there. You never keep anything up to date twice. I can connect other programs too, as long as they allow outside connections. I check that before I send the quote.

Where is my clients’ data stored?

On servers in Switzerland or the EU, you decide. I set up data protection in line with Swiss law (the revised Federal Act on Data Protection, FADP), with a data processing agreement. Each client sees only their own documents.

Can I extend the portal later?

Yes. Many start with documents and status and add invoices, appointments or a view for staff later. Every extension gets its own fixed-price quote. You own the code, so you can also carry on with another developer.

What does it cost to run afterwards?

Servers, updates, backups and monitoring cost from CHF 250.– per month, depending on the number of clients and documents. The amount is a separate line in the quote, so you know before we start what it adds each year.
